Questions and answers
Straight answers about the work, scheduling and what to expect.
How do I know if my air ducts need cleaning?
Common signs include visible dust building up around vents, a musty smell when the system runs, uneven airflow between rooms, or noticeably more dust settling on furniture than usual. If it has been a long time since your ducts were last serviced, a free estimate is the easiest way to find out where you stand.
What is included in an air duct service?
Depending on what your home needs, we clean, install, or repair air ducts. Cleaning clears built up dust and debris from the system, while installation and repair address ductwork that is damaged, disconnected, or missing altogether. We will walk you through exactly what your home needs before any work begins.
Why does dryer vent cleaning matter?
A blocked dryer vent forces your dryer to work harder, takes longer to dry a load, and lets lint build up in a space that gets hot every time you run a cycle. Keeping the vent clear is one of the simplest ways to keep your laundry room safer.
How often should dryer vents be cleaned?
It depends on how often you do laundry and how long your vent run is, but most homes benefit from a check at least once a year. If you notice clothes taking longer to dry or the outside vent flap barely opening when the dryer runs, it is worth having it looked at sooner.
Do I need my chimney cleaned every year?
Chimneys collect soot and debris every time they are used, so homes that burn wood or use their fireplace regularly should have it checked on a yearly basis. Even chimneys that see light use benefit from a periodic look to catch buildup or damage early.
What does chimney repair involve?
Chimney repair covers issues we find during an inspection or cleaning, from damaged masonry to problems with the flue or cap that affect how safely the chimney draws smoke and gases out of the home. We explain what we find and what it would take to fix it before any work begins.
What is mold treatment and removal?
Mold treatment and removal addresses mold found in or around your ductwork and HVAC system, an area where moisture can collect out of sight. We identify where it is coming from, treat the affected area, and help you understand what contributed to it.
What does HVAC UV light installation do?
A UV light installed in your HVAC system runs continuously as part of the system itself, adding an extra layer of protection against the buildup that can collect inside ductwork and equipment over time. It is a one time installation, not an ongoing service call.
